Project Manager 


POSITION SUMMARY

Clove Design Studio is seeking a part-time Project Manager and Procurement Associate to work directly with the Principal Designer to coordinate all aspects of design projects with a heavy emphasis on project coordination, client communication, and procurement-related tasks.  This is a small team environment, resulting in daily interaction with Clove’s owner.

This is a WFH position, however candidate must be willing to meet in person with Clove’s owner one morning/week unless noted, as well as attend frequent site visits and showroom meetings throughout the Metro as projects require.

This is a part-time (20 hours/week) position. PTO and paid holiday leave provided. Hourly compensation dependent on experience.

                                       

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design-Related Project Management 

  • Create and update drawings and elevations in AutoCAD as needed

  • Create and maintain detailed project specifications 

  • Create design boards for visual communication 

  • Attend client meetings, site visits and project installations as needed

  • Review and redline cabinet drawings and other project-related trade documents

Procurement

  • Create project proposals, invoices and purchase orders in Studio Designer.

  • Track client and vendor payments throughout the procurement process

  • Review details of all project furnishings and elements to ensure correct specifications are in purchase orders

  • Place orders with vendors for all approved project items including furnishings, hardware, lighting, accessories, fabrics, wallpaper, etc.

  • File all related receipts and orders for accounting and tracking purposes

  • Track all orders and maintain client-facing inventory reports

  • Review warehouse inspection reports and follow up with customer service requests or damage replacement requests

  • Sign up for trade accounts and manage vendor logins/trade list

Office Coordination and Internal Communication

  • Manage Google Drive files

  • Create and maintain physical client binders

  • Attend weekly meetings with Principal Designer to discuss projects and weeks schedule

  • Keep detailed log of billable hours and mileage throughout the week

  • Assist with other small business tasks as they arise

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience at a residential interior design firm

  • Solid understanding of AutoCAD and/or Studio Designer experience is a strong bonus

  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail and comfortability with managing a large volume of details

  • Positive attitude and willingness to take on a myriad of responsibilities

  • Valid drivers license and vehicle
